who we are

We are a registered UK charity and the first operational charity established outside of China, by China’s oldest charity China Children & Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF).

We are a member company of CCTF in China which is established as an independent non-profit voluntary association operating under the governance of the All-China Women's Federation and supervision Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC.

We work with an Advisory Council in Britain with specialist China knowledge drawn from prominent figures in the world of business, the Arts, trade and investment.

CCTF UK has appointed as its legal advisers Bates Wells & Braithwaite, the leading UK charity law firm with a strong charity team under Stephen Lloyd.

CCTF in Britain has a board of 7 Trustees 6 based in Beijing and 1 in the UK. The trustees and executive team of CCTF bring substantial experience of the non-profit, corporate and public sectors in China, the UK and elsewhere.

The President of CCTF is Chen Zhili Vice Chair of the People’s National Congress and formerly Minister of Education. Our Honorary President is Chen Mu Hua, former Vice Premier of China.

Chair of CCTF UK Trustees is Madam Cheng Shuqin Vice President of CCTF in China. Madam Cheng brings a lifetime of service and knowledge about children and youth affairs in China and overseas. Dr. Graham Davies, formerly Head of Global Trusts and Family Philanthropy at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is our UK based trustee.

CCTF in China is audited by Deloitte in Beijing.

Chair of CCTF UK Advisory Council is Caroline Butler formerly Board Member of S. G. Warburg & Co., Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, and currently a Director with Lord North Street Limited.
